  Padma Bhushan Uma Sharma
 
    Padmabhushan Uma Sharma is one of the foremost exponents of the Kathak, form of indian classical dance. Versatile and internationally known Uma Sharma is a name to contend within the dance world today. She is a fine example of talent, tenacity and drive, her achievements are many. She is a recipiant of the prestigious national awards such as Padmashree. The sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the Sahitya kala Parishad award for her contribution to the Kathak dance form.
In kathak the musical component is highly developed. Uma herself sings the composition for expressional numbers which enables her to create a matching fluidity of movements. She has widened and enriched the repertoire of kathak by composing new dance numbers and full length dance-dramas on a verity of themes. Her dance creation Stree (woman) has been greatly admired for its powerful thematic content and artistic presentation.
Uma has performed all over India and abroad and participated in many National and International festivals.
 
   
  Bhishma Narain Singh
 
    Bhishma Narain Singh is an Indian politician who served as the Governor of Assam from 1984 to 1989 and Governor of Tamil Nadu from 1991 to 1993. Born in a family of modest agriculturist means in a village of Jharkhand (Udaigarh, Palamau District) on 13 July 1933 and a graduate from Benaras Hindu University. Actively involved for the past 42 years in strengthening parliamentary democracy in India. A political leader and a constitutional governor. A member of All India Congress Committee (AICC) for more than three decades and permanent invitee of Congress Parliamentary Board from 1978 to 1983 under the Presidentship of Mrs. Indira Gandhi.
 
    A devoted Gandhian. A sagacious political leader, veteran parliamentarian, a popular and constitutional governor. a teetotaller, a crusader for tribal welfare, champion of women's rights and able administrator and statesman. Gandhigram Rural Institute Deemed University conferred degree of PhD (Honoris Causa) at its convocation 13 April 1992, and in April 2009 was conferred with the highest award "Order of Friendship" of the Russian Federation.
Handled various portfolios at central and state governments as minister. Also served as gvernor of six states and administrator of a union territory of India. Won first Parliamentary election as member of Legislative Assembly of Bihar State in 1967.
   
  S. Tarlochan Singh - MP
 
    S. Tarlochan Singh an Indian politician. He is a Member of the Parliament of India, representing Haryana. He served as Chairman National Commission for Minorities from 2003 to 2006 (Union Cabinet of India cabinet minister status), was member, National Human Rights Commission of India, Govt. of India, 2003 to 2006. He served as Vice Chairman, National Commission for Minorities from 2000 to 2003 (Union Cabinet of India, State Minister Rank).
He has done tremendous work for Sikhs around the world. He made huge efforts for the rescue and settlement of sikhs from Afghanistan after the civil war there. He published calendars and developed museums on Sikh history.
 
He has traveled worldwide to educate people about the teachings and values of Sikhism. In 2008 he visited Maine in United States to give lectures on Sikhism to the students of Colby College.
 
  Dr S.K. Pachauri (Retd.) IAS
 
    The registered Advocate in the Bar Coucil of India,Mr.Pachauri is a life member of Indian Institute of Public Administration, Indian History Congress and have presented several papers in its meetings, life member of the Indian Law Institute. He is also a permanent member of the Indian Council of Arbitration and has successfully decided numerous arbitration cases. He also handled work of Commissions of Enquiries like Kudal Commission, Mishra Commission and looked after the work of the Sub-Group of National Integration (NI) headed by the late Shri P.N. Mr Singh has been the head of the top investigating agency of the country and has himself been a top investigator and a security expert.
  Justice Jawahar Gupta
 
    The Punjab and Harayana High Court Judge Mr. Justice Jawahar Lal Gupta has been appointed Chief Justice of Kerala High Court by the President of India. Mr. Justice Gupta was designated as Senior Advocate and as a praticising advocate he was a part time member of the teaching faculty at the Law College, member of Punjab University's law faculty besided member Board of Studies in Law.
